Creating Your Portfolio in Dreaweaver CS3:

Linking A New Page To Your Home Page

1) Open Macromedia Dreamweaver.
  • Start/ Programs/ Adobe Web Standard/ Dreamweaver CS3
2) Create a New Page.
  • File: New
    • Basic:HTML: Create
  • Save this new page as "newpage.htm."
    • File: Save as
3) Create a link from your new page to your index page.
  • Type the word "Home" on your new page.
  • "Highlight" the word "Home" and navigate to your "index.html" file by using the "folder icon" next to "Link" in the "Properties" window.
    • Window: Properties.
  
  • Resave your new page and upload to your webportfolio using the "Upload" button at the top of the web page.
4) Create a link to your new page from your index page.
  • Open your "index.html" file.
  • Type in a link to the new page. (eg. New Page)
  • Highlight your link and navigate to the "Newpage.htm" file using the "folder icon" next to "Link" in the "Properties Window."
  • Resave your index.html page and re-upload to your webportfolio.
